gah! bad news over! now good news!!~~~ [warning long post]
went out in the afternoon wif ah hui, chris and eugene, then ytd say hao le is go the Settlers' Cafe to play game. duno wat place lai de. went to Clarke Quay, then i reach there le clarke quay so qi liang T___T no one de. den call chris he say they coming out of train now, then i wait one corner want scare them but they came up by the other escalator =__='' then!!! THEY TURNED TO THE EXIT AND WALKED AWAY!!!! den i was like O_O WHAT!!! then i ruuuuuuun!!!!! and cut their hands. humph!!! nv find me nv wait for me nv look for me! gaah! they tot i was with eugene who already arrived. then we went out of exit A then look look. where's eugene??? then nvm ask ah hui where the building at then we went to look at the map, but the map nv write xD

then finally saw eugene with his bright yellow umbrella and we went to find the place where we duno where it is. kekeke but wif me ard! no one will get lost!!! asked ah hui the place lvl wat de, at wat building she duno =__= then chris say the building how de? she say square de =___=''' then bo bian walked ard, say go online to chk the map... wanted go Mc to see, then walked to the nearest traffic light, then waited for Mr green to come out, then i saw it! SETTLERS'! xD it was on a stretch of those look abit old shops, juz across the road xD chris see le then say why at such old building?! later earthquake then will crash liao le. xD then we walked there~~~ the shops all very strange one. got one restaurant, then one shop sell those food boxes.. then another one wif pictures of sharks, then i O_O then see more inside, SHARKS FINS! omg omg. then walk further is a clinic... then walk walk... den i very.... then went out to look at the signs, nan dao we walked pass the place le???? then i see the signs outside, oh just right at the place. then i go back in =___= is right in front of my face =____= then chris was looking at me like entertainment =__=; coz he already saw the shop was in front of us =_=''

the sign put closed =__= say 2pm open de!!! why closed?! but the lights inside were on lahx then stood there awhile, then saw a buzzer on a table that was outside oso. then tell chris to press xD then he press le, no dong jing, then he keep pressing, continue pressing, press press press! then at last got someone appeared and turn the closed to open. then only got him in the shop =__='' sat down and waited. then a few mins later got another guy came in, oso working there de bah. then we were looking at the place. coz the said got provide food and drinks mah. food xtra $4, then student package, $6 from 2pm - 6pm. free flow drinks. then we see see. so small O_O where's the kitchen?!

they hung some game de portraits on the walls lah. then i saw a look like monopoly board on the wall, then i saw play that play that! then seconds later the guy came, with the board and said. what do u want to order? then he open le. then i saw yuan lai is a menu lai de =___='' the $4 meal, can order chicken chop, chicken cutlet, fish n chips, and spagetti. i wanted spaggetti de T_T budden duno how its like.. so took fish n chips. then chris took chop, hui, cutlet, then i say to eugene all order diff. u order spagg. then the person ask him, mushroom? tomato sauce? then ask ask ask until ask him inside got meat? then he said is vegetarian spaggeti then eugene say nonono! dun wan dun wan xD then he took fishy too.

then we order finish le, then ask him to recommend games, then he took a.. oops i forgot the name of the game le.... nvm is a train game lah! need to build trains across the board, which is a map, then u have mission cards to build from one location to the other, and alot of other rules. then we started the game by me forcing eugene to take yellow coz of his umbrella. aahahahah xD then i of coz took blue, ah hui red, chris green. then play abit then food came. fishy came firs~~ look quite appetizing, came wif tartar sauce T__T why no chilli?! then when chris and ah hui's order come, THEY GOT CHILLI!!!! ahh! then asked the person take for me T_T oya. at this point of time, the place is alot of ppl le. got 4 other grps of ppl come in to play le. then the workers oso all came le. the workers all quite young de lar. 20+ liddat? ok to make things easier, lets name the workers that came in contact wif us. W1 is the one that showed us to the table and gave us the 1st game.

W2 returned wif chilli and tomato sauces. then eugene eat le tomato sauce say got liquor smell. then i was eating my slice of tomato at the moment. zzz. then he tell us to taste the sauce. then i put my tomato in the tomato sauce =__= dint appear to me as something strange when i did that, then the tomato very slippery and slipped into the sauce.. nearly overflowed.. then they noticed my tomato in tomato sauce stunt =___='' but really arh the tomato sauce really got abit like liquor taste. then played for 1 and a half hrs, through eating oso xD i ate finish b4 the game ended of coz zzzz. eugene oso i tink. i had my coleslaw unfinished and W2 wana clear plates. i tink he came like the 2nd time le =__='' but we busy play game so the amt of food left is still the same. then i poured my coleslaw into ah hui's plate xD

ah hui: nono!! i dun want eat one!!!
W2: she dun wan eat u put inside oso no use mah!
me: i want eat one lah!!

kekeke then the railway game ended after 1 and a half hrs. the stupid eugene keep wanting to block our roads. then the rest of us keep plotting to hai eugene xD then when we finish the game le, duno how to count points. pressed the bell!!! xD the bell at the table very fun ah xD but is always chris pressing de.. =( then W2 came and we asked him to count

W2: huh u all never keep track of the points ah?
We: need to keep track one ah? we tot is at the end count eh.
W2: i try to count (=_='')

then he took the pieces of blocks in the box and count on the border... then count mine firz T_T i got 71? izit? forgot le. then eugene's got 105? T____T! coz his missions very long de so higher points T_T. then count count me and yu hui is last two T_T chris win me by one pt T___T! asked W2 to recommend another game for us to play. W2 came back wif his fav game called Manila. then when he opened the board of the game i O___O coz the board is only half of the normal size of other games, and its horizontal oso. and got sea, docks, left right, pirates, then he said: u all ... look at the board first. then he continue take other things out. i tink he wanted to say xin shang the board's feng jing =__='' coz the board was like quite well designed background...

Manila: objective of the game, earn most money win.
each round, try to ship 3 types of goods to Manila. types of goods, Jade, Cloth, Ginseng, Coffee
when the goods are shipped successfully, the price in the charts will go up by one, and the person who have accomplices on board will get to split the amt of money thats written there.
Pirates: at the 2nd diceroll, if a ship reaches 13, the pirate will knock out everyone in the ship and take over it. at 3rd diceroll, when a ship reaches 13, the pirate will join the ppl in the ship to the dock.
Harbourmaster: this is determined through player bidding. highest bids get to be harbour master. and able to buy one more stock, and then decide what to be shipped.
Mortgaging Goods: one card mortgage for 12 bucks. buy back pay 15 bucks

The game ends when one type of goods is reaches the top of the Stock Chart

when W2 first explained the game i duno what the hell he's talking abt =__='' very messy lah xD but when played le then will noe. another funny segment: when W2 took out the 3 boats and told us is boats.

W2: so this are the 3 boats. [puts them on the board]
Eugene: huh this are boats? ( coz the boats abit funny shaped xD i see le oso laughed abit)
W2: yeah boats.
Eugene:.....
W2: (=.=) u dont expect the boats to have small sticks at the side as rowers and it will move by itself one right.
Eugene: nonono i dont mean that.

and yea xD i forced eugene to take yellow again xD wakakaka XD then i saw got orange pieces de! wanted to change budden W2 said i rmbed u're blue rite. and gave me blue =___=! den bo bian.. nvm.. only chris changed colour to black. no green in that game i tink.

ok so, throughout the game, eugene keep being harbourmaster =__= i was for twice, and chris and ah hui lazy to bid. chris only joined in to make eugene's bid to go higher and higher xD sabo him xD so first rd! very messy. keep asking W2 for help =__='' coz i was pirate then the boat came and i wana knock them out but eugene keep protesting =__= coz he abit blur that time. xD be pirate very fun ah xD knock ppl out wif my piece xD literally knock their pieces out of the boat. but that time i oso abit blur lah. coz i tot that if one ship docks at manila, the other ships all go the useless dock. then the rest of them very upsetted xD then asked W2 for help again. then he said no lah muz give the other ships a chance. 3rd dice roll is the last one. must continue.

then eugene keep aiming for coffee after he got the hang of the game xD then whenever i Harbourmaster i refused to ship coffee xD play in the middle of the game i went toilet. counted all my money xD stacked them up in accordance to the qty, then come back see. ok correct. budden chris keep saying. u sure correct ah? then i dun care coz too excited abt the game xD then heard chris talking to ah hui. aiya this kind of dirty money i dun wana keep. then he reached over knock my $20 out. then i saw!!! he replaced my below $20 wif $1!!!! then i AHHHH!!!!!! wana strangle him. when the game ended wif coffee being the highest, but money count finish i most! XD $182 xD following close behind, is ah hui! $120+? and then eugene!! $107? chris most little =_= coz he abit passive in this game as eugene is always the harbourmaster, chris get to deploy his ppl last. so gd places all taken up le =__='' then he forced to take the least earning profit de spots. so happy i won =D juz now they won now me and ah hui first two~ xD

one thing i noticed in the game =__= coz W2 told us this game is abit like gambling and logic... then eugene was totally hooked on the game =__= he 80% of the times is harbormaster then always throw dice. and at chris's turn he always took up the dice and started shakin in his hands le. then chris very stressed always say i havent move yet!!! then eugene will either say, i noe! or faster!!! then i said (=__=) if eugene stepped into the casino he wont come out for 10 days de. tsk tsk tsk

then ard 5.30pm when we finished 2nd game. then paid the bill juz now when 2nd game was nearing end, $44, each $11. quite ok lah xD got nice food and can play such strange and interesting games xD called for someone to get us new game that play half an hr only. W3 came and gave us a game that look like Tetris. =__= it looked damn boring la at first xD the W3 told us to take out the colours first and said he'll be back. then we take take take then W2 came and 凑热闹. teach us how to play this game.

Game that looked like Tetris: (hehe i forgot the name xD)
everyone take one corner on the board, and then start from that corner wif own colour.
Eugene: forcefully yellow
Me: blue xD nicest colour in that tiles
yuhui: red
chris: green
back to the same o' colours! xD

okie so the game is to put all the tiles we each have and put on the board. but for our own tiles, we can only connect corner to corner. cannot touch face to face. but can touch other ppl's face to face. then we play play play, eugene keep saying chris kiasu coz chris was slowly going to eugene's territory... then in the end the kiasu one became eugene =__= coz he infiltrated into all our territories.... eugene won T_T chris lost, me and ah hui in the middle xD so fun ah the games! i dun wana leave T___T so fun T___T but have to leave T_T coz other ppl that came later than us leaving oso.. then the grp of noisy uniformed kids oso very noisy.. every 3 minutes will hear a shout from them.. the game the playing very violent and noisy got a kid nearly knock his plate over the table.

Trip to home: 1 lesson learnt. and i must remember this lesson!!! coz last time i oso did this b4 but i forgot. arghh. never to take 190 at 6pm-7pm coz orchard will traffic jam. arghh! i would have been at home by 7 if i had took the trains!!!! stupid bus!!!! SOMEONE REMIND ME NXT TIME I TRY TO TAKE 190 AT 6PM!

overall impression of the Settlers' Cafe:
look really small! but cosy xD outside at the playing area, got a strange smell x.x budden the toilet was surprisingly clean and smell even nicer then the place outside =___= and i saw they put 4+ air refresherners..... they pasted a piece of paper of interesting facts and i read one that says, ur thumb is the same length as ur nose. *nodsnods*
Food very nice!!! i kept stealing chris's chicken chop's blackpepper sauce to dip my fries. kekeke yummy~~
Service nice oso. lolx playing games mah. how bad can it be xD

oya dun worry abt GST zzzz only got service charge. and its 100% safe coz right across the street is a police station =__=''
